From the medical point of view, I have sought advice from the Murrayfield Medical Practice in respect of having the relevant literature freely available to patients with children awaiting consultation with their own doctors. The content of the ‘Baxterbear’ illustration and literature would, in my opinion, be of considerable interest to both children and parents in that any anxiety they may have could be lessened, thereby making the subsequent consultation with their doctor that much easier. I was senior partner in this practice until my retirement. My main medical interest was in paediatrics. I shall be following your project with considerable interest and hope that I will hear more about ‘Baxterbear’ in the near future.
