Baxterbear loves a round of Golf! He is TREEKLED to be featured in The Open’s publicity for “A Night for Heros”, The 2015 Grand Day Out Gala Dinner.

The event takes place on Saturday 18th July, during the Open championships at St. Andrews, Scotland within the R & A Tented Complex.

The event provides a unique opportunity to network with some of the biggest names in Golf, meet the heros, and support The St John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS).

Over the last five years The R&A Championship Committee have delivered an unequalled opportunity to injured service personnel which they will remember for the rest of their lives.

The Gala Dinner will be hosted within The R&A Tented Complex, (The Trophy Room), offering an evening of luxurious dining and entertainment in the company of our Military and members of the ISAF Alliance. Lt General Gordon Messenger DSO* OBE ADC Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff (Military Strategy and Operations) will be attending to Champion the benefiting Charity, the St John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS).

The Dinner will create a special environment for individuals who have experienced the Grand Day Out initiative to express their own personal gratitude to our guests for the invaluable support they have and continue to receive.

There will be novel and entertaining fundraising opportunities on offer plus a live Auction offering ‘to die for’ items. The proceeds will benefit these Heroes and their families in dealing with their life changing injuries. Megan Adams, one of The Poppy Girls, will entertain us during the evening. Megan, a Serving Officer’s daughter, is an extraordinary talent who has performed throughout the UK raising funds for Military Charities, www.meganadams.co.uk.

A plethora of Military musicians, unquestionably the best in the world, will also entertain our guests during the evening.
