Baxterbear performed in front of Prince William at the British Military Tournament and saluted the Prince while he was performing.
Baxterbear was TREEKLED to hear that Prince William was given a Baxterbear for Prince George! Prince William was guest of honour at the British Military Tournament and Baxterbear was is the official mascot.
Baxterbear was supposed to perform in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the 2012 BMT but unfortunately they could not attend. He was TREEKLED to be able to perform in front of him this year!
Prince William recently retired from active military service with the RAF Search and Rescue after seven years.
Baxterbear has felt a connection to Prince William for a long time. Prince William has a long time connection with Kenya, where Baxterbear lived for many years. He is the royal patron of Tusk, a charity who fund conservation in 18 African countries.
Prince William also spent some time living in Kenya and he proposed to the Duchess of Cambridge there in November 2010. Their son, HRH Prince George, was born on 22nd July 2013.
The Royal connection continues for Baxterbear. He performed in front of Her Majesty the Queen in 2011, and met Prince Charles at Armed Forces Day six months earlier.
