Alan Pardew invites Baxterbear to Training
Baxterbear was TREEKLED to meet Alan Pardew, Manager of the Newcastle United Football Team at the opening of the New Clubhouse. Alan had heard that Baxterbear had been making a difference to local people by working with Whickham Rotary Club and wanted to meet him. Alan Pardew, has invited Baxterbear to come along and train with the Newcastle United Football Team.
Alan Scott Pardew is an English football manager and former player, currently the manager of Newcastle United.
Baxterbear on the Childrens Ward
Baxterbear had a lovely day yesterday meeting lots of lovely children who are currently on the wards in Southampton Hospital.
He was TREEKLED to bring a smile to thier faces and give out lots of hugs. A big thank you to all the staff who were very patient with Baxterbear interupting thier day.

Baxterbear returns to Gambia
Baxterbear was TREEKLED to be given a very important job. As he is a great friend of the Rotary Foundation and has made a difference all over the world by raising money to END POLIO NOW! Baxterbear was asked by the Rotary Club of Whickham Clavering in the UK to visit Gambia. He was given a special flag known as a bannerette by Whickham Clavering to deliver to President Safi Saho at the Rotary Club of Banjul! The Banjul Rotarians loved Baxterbear and they were pleased to welcome him into their Rotary Club.

Baxterbear is TREEKLED that Father Christmas is coming soon. He sends his hugs and wishes everyone a Festive Holiday.

Meeting New Friends in Gambia
News of Baxterbear teaching children in Gambia First Aid, One little girl heard that Baxterbear was at her school making a difference and she came to see for herself! She'd never seen such an important bear before, in fact she had never seen a teddy bear before and was very intrigued. Baxterbear put her at ease with one of his famous CUDDLES and she took him home with her to meet her Family in Serrakunda. Baxterbear was TREEKLED because everyone was overjoyed to meet him!
Teaching First Aid in Gambia
Baxterbear began his work in Gambia by helping to teach the school children of Bakau, first aid. He showed them his injuries, firstly his tartan wich the school chirldren thought was a bandaged arm and then his ripped ear. He was TREEKLED to let them practice applying bandages to his arm and examining his ear closely. He was CONFUDDLED, though when the children were rolling him into the recovery position as he felt quite well at the time. The children successively passed the course and received their First Aid Certificates.

Baxterbear at the 2011 BMT
Baxterbear has been practising his riding skills for the 2011 British Military Tournament. He was TREEKLED to be the tournament's mascot again this year and was delighted to be able to meet musicians from the Band of the Grenadier Guards before showing off his skills to a packed Earls Court arena.
