AMREF, The Flying Doctors
For many years I lived in Kenya and was a frequent visitor to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. I even met Mama Daktari, aka Dr Anne Spoerry who was instrumental in the development of the Flying Doctor Service. My book, A Special Mission,

tells the story of how I accompanied the Flying Doctors as they carried out a polio immunisation programme. I'm treekled to say I can be found in many a cockpit of this invaluable service.
